Todd Bowen, Director of World Languages, Niles Township HS A thirty-four year veteran of the world language classroom, Todd works as the Director of World Languages for Niles Township High School District 219 in Skokie. Todd has taught all levels of French, was a National Board Certified Teacher, and a reader for AP French. He is a long-time member of AATF and served on the Northern Illinois Chapter’s Executive Council. He was honored as a chevalier in the Palmes Académiques. Todd serves the Central States Conference on the Teaching of Foreign Languages as the 2020 Program Chair and selected “Room for All at the Table” as the theme for the conference in Minneapolis. He is also a member of the finance committee. While a member of the ACTFL Board of Directors, Todd was elected Treasurer twice. He is most proud of developing LILL (Leadership Initiative for Language Learning) as an ACTFL Director. In his role as Professional Learning Chair for ICTFL Todd coordinates opportunities for Illinois teachers to improve their knowledge and skills. Those activities include OPI/MOPI training, Pathway to Proficiency, TALL-IL workshops, and World-Readiness Rollout workshops. Todd has served ICTFL in a variety of capacities over the years.
