Do you teach Novice and Intermediate learners? Would you like to understand more about their proficiency levels and how to guide them to increase their skills? Join ICTFL as it offers the Modified Oral Proficiency Interview workshop (MOPI) June 20-21 at Yorkville High School Academy.
MOPI is an intensive two-day introduction to the techniques and rating of the Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) at the Novice and Intermediate levels. Participants study the characteristics of Novice and Intermediate levels of proficiency and learn how to observe and conduct interviews as well as how to rate an interviewee’s level. P-C., (Pre-Covid) more than 50 Illinois WL teachers had completed this training. All said it was one of the best workshops they had ever attended and what they learned had radically changed their approach to teaching.
